Top five skills for the successful new hires in 2015

A recent study reveals the The top five reasons why new hires failed in 2015.

It seems shocking why people failed:

Attitude (36%): Temperament and personality suited to the particular job and work environment.

Coachability (23%): The ability to accept and implement feedback from bosses, colleagues,

      customers and others

Emotional Intelligence (22%): The ability to understand and manage own’s emotions and accurately assess  other’s emotions.

Motivation (11%): Sufficient drive to achieve one’s full potential and excel in the job.

Technical competence (8%): Functional or technical skills required to do the job.

You will notice that lack of skills or technical competence only accounted 8% of the new hire failures, instead, when a new hire was wrong for a company, it was due to attitude.

So, attitude is the key!
